Salem Ahmad Almoosa Enterprises (SAAE), one of the UAE’s most prominent business conglomerates, will sponsor a socially relevant play titled ‘Hadk Madk’ written by Abdulla Zeid and which will star the country’s famous theater actors. The play comes at a time when the UAE leadership calls for initiatives promoting local cultural, literary and theater movement to preserve the country’s heritage and traditions; creating an inclusive society that embraces people of various nationalities; and enhances unity within communities.
His Excellency Salem Ahmad Almoosa, Chairman and General Manager, SAAE, said “the company seeks to raise cultural awareness, promote best practices and innovations and enrich cultural communication to achieve development”. The company is also keen on encouraging community members to actively participate in social issues.
Almoosa added the UAE is and will remain a historical reference for the advancement of the arts, culture and theater. In the light of regional and international developments, the UAE aims to build a strong sense of belonging and work towards its advancement and development.
He added: “Sponsoring and organizing social and cultural activities are aligned with our Corporate Social Responsibility initiative as we seek to promote unity and forgiveness in the country and deepen the spirit of citizenship. This is our response to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum,Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to promote cultural, literary and theater activities in the country to cement the UAE’s cultural leadership.”The play was first performed in Abu Dhabi on Martyr’s Day. The play will present 46 performances in a span of more than eight months. Officials, talents and intellectuals interested in the artistic and cultural movement in the country are expected to watch the performance. Around 25 to 30 per cent of the play focuses on the sacrifices of the martyrs as well as on national and military service.
