Ahead of Eid Al Adha, Legoland Dubai has unveiled a model of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, ahead of the theme park’s official opening on October 31.
The model will be a key structure in LEGOLAND’s mini-city when it opens next month (where there’ll also be a Burj Khalifa replica), and there’ll also be more than 60 rides, waterslides and building experiences for visitors.
The impressive replica is made from 536,292 Lego bricks, took more than 6,300 hours to complete and weighs approximately 1,323 kgs. Yeah, you certainly wouldn’t be able to lift it.
“Having a Lego model of the mosque in Legoland Dubai will play a vital role in introducing the mosque as a cultural and tourist destination among the visitors as well as residents,” said Yousif Al Obaidli, director general of the real-life mosque in Abu Dhabi.
